CEO of Vivago Ltd has changed – Niina Vilkas is the new Interim CEO
Vivago Ltd has strongly developed its operations over the last three years and strengthened its position as a pioneer in health technology.
Building the company's quality system and business management processes, as well as revamping the company's core business, have created new opportunities for Vivago in its export markets in Europe. In recent years, Vivago has strengthened its partner network and opened new sales partner channels internationally. Strong partners in Finland and Europe enable Vivago to grow into an internationally renowned health monitoring company. B2C retail channel, which opens in late 2019, will increasingly drive the company towards the aging population and the challenges they face when living safely at home.
Maria Lavonen, who has worked as the CEO of Vivago for over four years, will step down from Vivago's business as of October 8, 2019. “Vivago has been committed and strong during Maria Lavonen's managing role. I thank Maria on behalf of everyone for her excellent work on Vivago and wish her every success,” says Kimmo Haahkola, Chairman of the Vivago Board.
As Maria Lavonen moves toward new challenges, Niina Vilkas has been appointed as Vivago's new Interim CEO. Niina Vilkas has worked for Vivago since 2016 and most recently in Vivago's COO & QARA positions. "We have an exciting and busy future ahead of us and it's great to be able to build a success story with the team," Niina Vilkas sums up the situation. Jukka Sonninen has served on Vivago's Board of Directors since 2016 and will act as an advisor and will support Vivago's near future. Jukka Sonninen has solid expertise in IT management and international growth.
